By the development of society we put more emphasis on controlling outer and inner factors that make skin grow old . There are more and more patients in our practice in search of treatments to rejuvenate their skin and reduce or make the signs of passing time disappear.

The UV rays of sunshine affect layers of the skin, its collagene and elastic fibres and cause the first signs of it growing old. These visible signs, the brown pigment marks appear at an ever earlier age (20-30) because of the thinning of the ozone layer and other factors. These symptoms grow more and more definite as time passes and more and more time is spent in the sun. Rosacea teleangiectasia, alteration of blood-vessels in the skin caused by accelerated metabolism accompany these.

In recent years, skin renewing treatments have changed dramatically. The beginning of this process was dermabrasio, then chemical deep-peeling and resurfacing with laser. Although these methods are effective in treating specific symptoms of aging, they all require lengthy recovery and have various side-effects.

What does IPL Photorejuvenatio mean?

How many treatments are necessary to achieve required results?
The rejuvenatio therapy consists of five treatments. It is preceded with an overall dermatology examination. The machine is also handled by our dermatologist specialist. Five treatments are carried out with 3 week intervals. To maintain results, we recommend maintanence therapy twice a year, the first one in 6 months, the second one in 12 months after the therapy. Appointments are advised to be kept, as the success of the therapy depends on accurate timing.
One treatment takes 25 minutes, and consists of 80-120 flashlight irradiation causing no pain, only some lightly stinging feeling in the skin. Everyday activities can be carried on right after the treatment.

What side-effects can appear?
Although the therapy is especially gentle, according to the power the machine was used, blush, burn, and stripes can sometimes occur but these last only for a few days. Apart from these, brown spots might darken but they disappear in 1-2 days by falling of the skin.

What is the procedure of therapy at DRN laser-center?
During the very first examination, after being introduced to the therapy in words and in a written document, our patients fill in a form about previous treatments in detail. If he or she can be treated with IPL, we carry out an overall examination, take photos and after taking the patients signature on a statement of approval, we carry out test-irradiation. If the result of the test is negative, our dermatologist specialist can carry out the very first treatment immediately. During the treatment the patient is lying on a comfortable cosmetologist-bed, eyes covered with special goggles. Treatment can be tolerated well thanks to the soothing gel on the face and the cooling system of the machine. Extra analgeics are not necessary. After the treatment there is a cosmetology treatment, where we use a special regenerating pack to improve effectiveness of treament and reduce the blushing of the skin.

Who do we recommend IPL therapy?
The best results can be achieved with patients above 25 years of age, who have lightly wrinkled, a bit loose skin with wide pores, and brown and white spots and visible blood-vessels caused by ovrusing solariums and harmful effects of environment.

What results can be expected from this rejuvenatio therapy?
Light, small wrinkles disappear right after the very first treatment, brown spots become black and fall off the skin within a few days. After the second and third treatment smaller visible blood-vessels also disappear. In the end of the therapy, all the skin alterations caused by harmful effects of environment disappear. How does laser-depilation work?
The special laser gets through the skin and gets absorbed selectively by the pigments found in foliculus: the melanin, damaging hair and making it unable to grow again, without causing any harm to the skin around the area.

What kind of machine is used for the treatment?
Undesired hairs are damaged with Ruby Epipulse 5000, the development of LUMENIS which is a leader medical laser producing compay in the world. How many treatments are necessary?
Hairs have 3 phases of life:

Standstill - transitional - growth.

The damaging effect of laser-light works only in the phase of growing, when the hairs are full of pigments. At a given time, some hairs can be in different phases, so more than one treatment is usually necessary to achieve perfect results, the number depends on the actual part of the body. Hairs being in standstill phase divide in many proportions on a particular part of the body, so the accurate number of necessary treatments can only be given after an examination.


What kind of people can get the best advantage of laser depilation?
The very best results can be achieved with people who have dark hairs that gather all the laser irradiation to the root of the hair and the surrounding tissue is light enough not to absorb this energy. The browner the skin, the more energy will be absorbed by this, which results in burning the skin. According to this, grey, red or fair hairs cannot be the subject of laser depilaton.

What is the procedure like?
In DRN aesthetic laser center, the assistant gives information about the treatment in words and in a written document. If you have a skin alteration that does not allow you to undergo the treatment, we count no fee for the examination. Our future patients are given a form asking questions about their past illnesses and their treatments, they get a quotatioon and are put onto the waiting list.

How to prepare for the first examination?
The first examination has to be carried out on 0.5-1mm long hairs. Please do not sunbathe or go to solarium for one month before the treatment and depilate only by shaving or using cream. In summer, use suntan-lotion!

What happens during the first examination?
Your medical history is evaluated and an overall dermatological examination is carried out. You are given information about the treatment itself after which you sign an agreement. Then a test irradiation is carried out.

What is the procedure of the first treatment?
If the tests have negative results, the first depilation is carried out only by 500 impulses or lower (on parts like moustache, chin, armpit). Larger areas can only be treated 1-2 days later. Irradiation is done by our assistant and is supervised by our dermatologist. The time the treatment takes depends on the size of the area. During the treatment our patients are lying on a dermatologist-bed, eyes covered with special protective goggles. Relatives or other company are not allowed to stay in the room during the treatment. Depilation causes no pain. Stinging feeling can be sensed sometimes at the moment of the flashes. Treated areas are soothed with a cooling gel. Exmination and treatment fees have to be paid following the first treatment.

How many times and how often should one be treated?
Every part of body has to be treated according to the phase of life of the hairs. Therapy consists of approximately 6 treatments but this can differ according to the person. Intervals between treatments can be as long as 1 to 3 months. Hairs disappear gradually, and the number of impulses decline at the same time with this. It means that the price of treatments becomes less, too. In DRN aesthetic laser center, assistants schedule the course of treatments according to charts and checking with the doctor. The dates of treatments are personally tailored, keeping to them can influence the results of therapy. Our patints are given a term-card, which they are asked to have on.

What to do after being depilated?
Do use high factor suntan lotion. Do not use solariums or sunbathe. Avoid direct sunshine or solariums for at least two weeks after the last treatment. Using MAGIC TAN self-tanning booth is allowed.

What results can be expected?
According to American tests results are excellent, for example after 6 treatments on the back or on the feet 70-86 percent of hairs disappear in 9 months. Ruby Epipulse 5000 offers the same results.

Who are not recommended to undergo the therapy?
Therapy is contraindicated if there is any malignant melnoma or inflammation, hyperpigmentation or there is predisposition to keloid or cicatrice. We do not treat hairs in birthmarks, on aeas with many solaris lentigos, on children or pregnant women. It is not recommended for ones with dark skin or ones with red, fair or grey hairs or with fluffs.

What side-effects or complications can arise?
If too little energy is used, treatment will not be effective. If too much energy is given, skin may get burned. Light blush can appear in the skin that disappears in 3-4 days. Blisters can appear but these go away in 10 days. Light brown marks (pigmentation) or white ones (depigmentation) may appear and remain in the skin for a longer period of time but disappear without any trace after a while.

Wrinkle filling, new-fill, botox, botox mask, mesotherapy.

WRINKLE FILLING is recommended to reduce the depth of wrinkles caused by the using of mimic muscles. Synthetic hyaluronic acid is injected under the skin. Normally it is a constituent of healthy skin. Hyaluronic acid bounds water into the skin ensuring its flexibility and tightness. As time passes the content of it in skin reduces resulting in the appearing and deepening of wrinkles. Injected material returns skin’s young-like turgor and elasticity. Dextrane microspheres found in the product make the skin produce collagene fibres again. That is why this product is revolutionary: others are absorbed in a few months. Duration depends on many factors. For example on the personal specifications of the patient. Some work out the agent slowly, some in a short time. On average one and a half year long effect can be expexted from the therapy carried out in two steps. Therapy of course can also be repeated later.
When skin loosens because of age, some illness or weight loss, we recommend NEW FILL technology. NEW FILL does not cause immediate refilling but makes skin produce collagenes around the injection and it fills up the skin again. Result that can be regarded as permanent appears in a few days. The PLA (poly-L-lacic acid) break down in one and a half year but the effect caused by the newly produced collagenes can last for even 1-2 years!
Relieving overuse of facial muscles is also possible by a therapy called BOTOX, that relaxes muscles in the face that cause wrinkles. This can be administered around the eyes or the forehead. Skin smoothens in a few days after the treatment.
It has no harmful side-effects, what is more, it can stop undesired sweating by injecting it in the armpit. Treatment is almost pain-free. The exact place of injections is located by the specialist who also decides how much product is needed. The results of BOTOX therapy appear in 2-5 days, it has its maximum effect in two weeks, and lasts for about 3 moths from the first treatment. If BOTOX injection is administered again in 3 months, its effect can be longered for 4-5 months. If the effect seems to reduce, the treatment can be repeated at any time. It causes no harm in the treated musles. It has longer effect if the treatment is repeated. To lenghten intervals, there is BOTOX-mask, that contains botulinum toxin peptid and AHA (alpha-hidroxy-acid) in a smaller quantity. AHA gently removes the outermost layer of the skin, so that botox can get into its layers and cause muscles relax. Treatment takes 15-20 minutes. It must be carried out by experts! BOTOX-MASK treatment has to be carried out weekly as long as the required effect is achieved (but for a maximum of four weeks). Between treatments and after the last one maintanence treatmet is recomended by using a special cream. More therapies can be carried out later on with 2-3 months intervals.


MESOTHERAPY is not a new invention, it has a history of decades. In France and in the USA anti-aging or ufatting agents are pumped between the layers of skin by meso-system mesotherapic gun. The doctor chooses the ideal mesotherapic serum that is than injected into the precisely located depth into the skin. Treating skin this way can be effective by itself, but any other rejuvnatio treatments can complete this. It helps to reduce local fat by injecting the special anti-fat serum, whose effect is obviously visible after 3-4 treatments. There is no recovery time, everyday activities can be carried on immediately.

Information on birthmark-control
There are many kinds of protrusions on the human skin some of which can be found on it right at the time of birth but most of them grow onto it along with ageing. These can have various looks, their surface, size, colour and connection with age can show great variety. They can be divided into different groups based on their appearance, and histologic structure.
-there are warts caused by viruses,
-birthmarks,
-benign or malignant growths
-old-age growths.

During a dermatology practice we meet pigmented birthmarks at most cases, that develop from naevus cells producing pigments. They appear from early childhood to the age of 30-35. Their number and size can grow because of hormonal changes like in the puberty or during pregnancy. They can be round, oval, flat or convex by shape and usually homogenous by colour and sometimes can contain hairs. Pigmented birthmarks are not steady alteratios and new ones can appear at any time of the life.

Pigmented birthmarks can grow melanomic from harmful effects of environment (mainly from direct sunlight) or from consant irritation (like chafing of clothes). Melanoma is one of the most malignant cancer types. They are usualy dark-brown or black, can appear very quickly and can spread through lymphatic system. When it is spreaded, medical treatments are already late. Every birthmark can be removed! They can be divided into three groups based on the necessity of treatment:
-Can be removed: Most pigmented birthmarks belong here. THEY HAVE TO BE REMOVED BY OPERATION, AS IF JUST THE PART OF THIS IS REMOVED THAT GROWS OVER THE SKIN IT CAN GROW AGAIN OR CAN GROW MELANOMIC.
-It is recommended to remove: Ones suffering constant irritation or ones that are injured. These are recomended to be removed sooner the better.
-Have to be removed:
Injured birthmarks to save the patient.

SELF EXAMINATION
- If you find an asimmetric, growing, not homogeniously coloured mark on your skin with irregular edge that does not hurt,
- if a birthmark starts to grow and gets darker it is necessary to turn to a specialist immediately.

Self examination has to be carried out 2-3 times a year, and even if no problematic birthmarks are found it is advisable to be examined by specialists yearly. Diagnosed melanoma at an early stage can save life and can result in finite recovery. Melanoma is the most usual kind of human skin-alterations, one in every six people get them in their lives. These are always seen on the skin so can be recognisable. If there is the smallest suspicion, turn to a specialist!
